Carley's of Cornwall is one of Cornwall's leading organic supermarket and organic food manufacturers. The company has an in-store bakery and a large greengrocery department. Carley's turned to epostills.com for help when, with sales of £1,000 a day, deliveries were running two or three days behind. The situation was chaotic. epostills.com were recommended and the StoreTrader software was subsequently installed on the Beetle/S hardware. The transformation was underlined by Carley's director, John Carley:

"The hardware and software has performed well and stock control is getting easier all the time. For example, when we sell an item, we can print out what day, what time and how much. So we know what's selling well. General ordering has been helped a lot and, because of shelf-edge tickets, there's no pricing. Deliveries go straight on the shelf. It's easy to use too. We just do on-the-job training.""We have much better record keeping - particularly VAT sales and analysis. Transaction time has been reduced and so we have fewer queues, so our customers can see the improvement. It's also reduced the number of phone calls from our home delivery customers as they now get a proper itemised receipt to match up with their goods. Stock control is better, with less money tied up. It has also made us more rigorous in the way we accept payment - with the old tills, it was a major job separating out the types of payments, now we have to reconcile all the payments daily."
